Company Profile

Dirty Snowflake was born out of a desire to offer natural fiber casual/active wear clothing for men & women with a deconstructed urban appeal. Dirty Snowflake Apparel seeks to produce artistic alternatives to “big box“ store clothing for work and play. Clothing that is comfortable, unique, functional, and affordable. Pieces to add to your everyday collection that you do not see every day.

Dirty Snowflake Apparel is committed to manufacturing in the USA. All of our fabric is sourced in Los Angeles. The garment production is done in San Francisco. All finish work is completed in Bend. This includes local embroidery and silk-screening. These production decisions are consciously done to lower our carbon footprint, and to help maintain manufacturing jobs in the United States. Dirty Snowflake Apparel is housed in a “Green Built” structure, and powered by “Blue Sky” electricity.

Dirty Snowflake Apparel was started in January 2009.

Mission Statement

We have the desire to create exciting alternatives in casual/active wear for men and women. Clothing that satisfies a deconstructed urban artistic sensibility. We strive for fashion that maintains comfort and does not disregard function or style. Designed and manufactured in the USA.

How did you pick the name?

Douglas is a white boy from Minnesota who melts in intense sun & heat. At Burning Man in 2008 he was given the name “Snowflake” for this reason. Shortly there after while we were brainstorming for company names it seemed logical, fun, & meaningful to include snowflake somehow. After much research & testing Dirty Snowflake Apparel was born.
